AMD introduces the latest edition to the AMD-8000™ Series of core-logic components for AMD Opteron™ and AMD Athlon™ 64 processors. Intended for Server and Workstation applications, the AMD-8132™ component brings the power of PCI-X® 2.0 and HyperTransport™ 2.0 technologies to AMD64 platforms. The high-level feature-set of this component includes HyperTransport 2.0 interfaces (supporting 1GHz, 16x16 Side-A and 16x16 Side-B Interfaces), dual PCI-X 2.0 interfaces (designed to support Mode 1 and Mode 2* operation), embedded I/O APIC for each PCI-X 2.0 interface, and robust internal data management and error handling capability.
